The project renewed the paving, street furniture, and lighting of part of the Camogli harbor, combining the strong identity of the place and its value to the local community with its touristic appeal. The materials, colors, and technologies used are part of the area’s historical fabric. Even the quiet rituals of daily life—like the many who gather on the pier at sunset, reading the newspaper on benches and stone steps—were embraced as part of the design’s soul. At the same time, the pier remains one of the finest vantage points to take in the heart of the fishing village, with its cluster of homes on the promontory and the church rising beside the sea.
