Aurelia

An Italian-Australian couple living in Berlin decides to move to Camogli, into a double apartment within an elegant early 20th-century Art Nouveau building. The apartment is renovated using finishes and furnishings that reflect the owners’ youth and international taste, while also respecting the historical features of the property: the decorated ceilings, large arched windows, and beautiful pitch pine doors inspired the color choices, the introduction of arched shapes in the new iron and glass doors and partitions, and the custom-designed furniture. The result is a pared-down Art Nouveau style, where original and new elements do not clash but harmonize, and the former regain a newfound lightness that brings a sense of calm and relaxation to the home’s atmosphere.
